Of course there are plenty of times when the basics will not be enough, when additional solutions are called for that are more sophisticated than that – like reprogramming stress eating or my history with certain places and people, staying convinced that this is important enough to me to stretch for or examining my creative yet self-destructive mind games.  But even these don’t negate the need for the basics.  They are solutions to be built on top of the firm foundation that the basics provide.  That’s what I call weight management 202, and these strategies are exactly what I teach and think are critical for anyone to puzzle through for themselves so that they can be successful for life.
