No one said I have to skip all the junk, anyway. Again, denying myself everything as if that is what is required to go through the holidays without weight gain is a common excuse I have used to give myself permission to keep no grip at all. Fact is, I can have whatever I think is worth the work to manage into my budget and nutrition. Pecan Sandies and the special Scandinavian Cardamon bread are absolutely worth it to me. The entire bowl of red and green wrapped Christmas Hershey Kisses with almonds that my sister keeps by the living room couch for the whole holiday are not. I can have them anytime. Stuffing is worth it, mashed potatoes are not. What’s really worth it to you?
