I can be moving toward my goal or away from it, but weight management is never stagnant. Every day I am “cementing” whatever behaviors I am living. It’s just the way the brain works. Science says, if it is pleasurable or about survival, then the brain saves computing power and makes a sort of “desktop shortcut”. That’s why I can eat a great scone one time in one place, and forever when I hear the name of that place, immediately feel an overwhelming craving for scones that seems to drop out of the blue. Do I want to make more shortcuts to things that screw me up?
