Exercise is statistically speaking the greatest predictor of success at weight management. There are statistics like: people who do over 2000 exercise calories per week keep off upward of 78% of the weight they lose, and people who do less than 1500 exercise calories a week gain back upwards of 50% of their weight. You cannot account for the actual amount of pounds people keep off by simply calculating the amount of exercise calories the study participants burn. They keep off more weight than those calories would predict. The question to ask yourself is, “Which category do I want to be in?”
