More importantly, exercise also predicts other health behaviors.  I started in this field working for an in-patient hospital weight loss program that also conducted Risk Factor Management programs in corporations.  Exercise was, hands down, the biggest predictor other positive health behaviors and outcomes, like eating more veggies, lower blood pressure, less anger and aggression, and even of the liklihood af fastening your seatbelt.
