I have never seen anyone with a weight history be able to indefinitely manage food stimulus without eventually caving.  I have seen fellow strugglers (not me) go amazingly long times on psych and willpower for sure, but never indefinitely.  Something has to give.

Case in point:  One of my clients who had lost a considerable amount of weight kept going back to her therapist to have her dose of anti-depressant meds raised as she felt her psych eroding and her desire to eat increasing over time.  Come to find out that every night in bed she put herself to sleep reading her Eating Well, and Gourmet Magazine subscriptions.

Another case in point:  I had a client who successfully lost and kept off a significant amount of weight for over a year without cleaning the junk out of her house.  Problem was, once it did become a problem for her, she couldn’t seem to embrace that she couldn’t seem to just get “that head” back, still keeps taking it as a reflection of her lack of gumption rather than just accepting it and working around it.  It is about 8 years later and she is still fighting that particular battle, back carrying all that original weight plus.  She has recently returned to work on it, and guess where most of the extra food calories are coming from even now…her own kitchen.  On the bright side – very fixable.
