October 4
I have to laugh when I hear myself trying to lay the blame for my bad habits at the feet of my parents. First of all, all on my own I have eaten ten times worse than anything my mother ever fed me. Secondly, a lot of what they served us that we now consider questionable was not known to be a poor choice with the state of nutrition knowledge at the time. And, thirdly, I have been making my very own choices for “a couple” of years now. So, when I hear myself saying, “I have to have chips with my sandwich because that is how my mother always served it,” I have to stop myself and ask, “And how old are you now, Susan?”
