A calorie is not just a calorie to me when…it comes in little pieces.  This includes Cheese Nips, Wheat Thins, sunflower seeds, Cinnamon Toast Crunch.  Granola is a perfect example of this.  Do you know anyone who ever ate a reasonable amount of it?  It is essentially just crunched up oatmeal cookies at 400-600 per cup.  I always start with the broken cashew pieces (’cause everybody knows broken pieces don’t actually count)…and then I smash a few more till I have eaten all of them…for free!  They are so little.  How much could they cost, really?

    i do this a LOT!! also and my personal favorite – the, i might as well eat it all today so that it doesn’t tempt me tomorrow gambit. i love these postings on FB, they remind me to be mindful every day.
