Putting in may be more important than taking out. It asks me to invest my time and energy in my intention to eat well. I have to act like that person I would like myself to be.
It can be very edifying to look around your kitchen. What do your kitchen cabinets and refrigerator tell you about your intentions, what you are planning to weigh? I remember when one of my clients said that she realized that she had really changed the way she ate when she realized that her “go to” drawer was now in the refrigerator, not a cabinet. The “go to” drawer contained cheeses, fruits, veggies, humus, turkey, eggs – not pretzels, soy chips, pop chips, cookies, etc.
