So, why does it help? I think it is because exercise causes you to get a hold of that side of yourself that would also call ahead to a restaurant to check the menu before you go, or that side of you that would choose to bring your own healthy snack in the car so that you don’t have any reason to be in a Quick Check. It helps you get a hold of that side of yourself that is willing to stretch to help yourself…the side of you that is responsible for successful long term weight management…the side of you that we all want to be able to buy/get from someone else or from some program. That motivation ultimately comes from inside of you, and exercise turns it on. That’s why I call it the closest thing to a magic bullet.
