Strategy: Make travel days skinny days by creating routines or bringing my own food.
Why: The available food on the road or in the air is generally not great anyway, and this way I bookend the trip with low days. That particular skill has helped me to keep a grip at the beginning of the trip (I don’t unleash my vacation mentality immediately) and get it back as soon as I am on the road home. By the time I am home, I have already squashed the continue-eat-badly-till-Monday-cycles-around thing.
