Exercise Basics – I have to move – regularly. Theoretically you should be able to keep the weight off if you keep the calories and content of your diet where they need to be, but weight management statistics throughout time immemorial have supported the fact that it is only those who move (no matter what form of exercise they choose to do) who have any long term success. I think that the statistics go something like this: people who do 2000 calories of exercise a week (about 45 minutes a day) keep off upwards of 78% or their weight, and people who do less that 1500 exercise calories per week (less than 1/2 hour a day) gain back more than 50% of their weight. In which category do you want to be?
